Gathering Table

A “gathering table” is a fairly new concept in home furniture. Standing roughly at countertop height (36″), it’s taller than the typical dining table. This means you can be comfortable either sitting in a taller chair or standing next to the table. It’s a perfect, casual gathering place for friends and family. From a woodworker’s point of view, it’s a quick build, which makes it possible to have the table in the house by next weekend. The knock-down construction eliminates any complicated joinery. The table is mostly constructed with screws and bolts. The simple design also means it’s easy to change the style.
